Shoulder to Shoulder Cup Set 002

I used to ride the subway 2 hours a day to get to-and-from a corporate gig. This lasted for years until I built up the courage to request more days “working” from “home”. I didn’t usually mind - these rides gave me time to read and listen attentively to new music. Other times, someone with long hair would be crammed right in front of me and when the train would pick up speed, an occasional strand of this hair would fly free of its environ and brush against my lip, the most gentle act of pure violation. I didn’t like it.

This set of two cups is hand-thrown in a lightly-speckled clay body with an opaque application of hand-painted black underglaze. They’re really satisfying to use for a cappuccino or cup of Ceylon tea.
